Jason Gedrick and Kiefer Sutherland are normal guys who take different paths after graduating from high school in Promised Land (1987). Local hero Jason becomes a small-town cop, while nerdy Kiefer becomes a troubled drifter. Still, they both get to live the American dream of nailing, respectively, Tracy Pollan and Meg Ryan.
