Hollywood doesn’t love New York. It’s Tinseltown’s favorite site for post-apocalyptic disaster movies, such as Cyborg (1989), starring the Muscles from Brussels, Jean-Claude Van Damme. There’ll be plenty of Van Damage to your love muscle thanks to this tale of the martial-arts expert kickboxing his way cross country to escort a cyborg who has a cure for the plague that’s afflicting Atlanta. Primarily that’s Deborah Richter, whose fleshy emergence a half hour into the flick will have enthusiastic audiences flicking their Bics.
