Based on Malcolm D. Lee’s film shorts for the Web site Urban Entertainment, Undercover Brother (2002) is a skinematic spoof of the bygone days of blacksploitation cinema. Undercover Brother (Eddie Grffin) is an afro-sporting super(fly)hero known for defending his peeps and reining the streets with his mackin’ style. When a beloved black presidential candidate (Billy Dee Williams) is kidnapped and doped by The Man (Robert Trumbull) and evil-doers under “Operation Whitewash,” the Underco Bro must trade his ‘fro and platforms for pique polos and penny loafers and enter the sacred Caucasian circle to investigate. Utterly transformed in Steve Urkel-esque proportions, he teams with the sassy Sistah Girl (Aunjanue Ellis) and the velvety underground group called the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. to put the peace and unity back into the community. Will the pimp-daddy private dick and his pals be able to overthrow The Man, his demonic henchman Mr. Feather (Chris Kattan), and Snow White the She Devil (Denise Richards) and end the hour with black power?
