The world of professional sports and pro sports agents is a milieu of big money and vast celebrity. Naturally, the most attractive females in the universe are attracted to the action, which bodes well for the love interests in the romantic comedy Jerry Maguire (1996). However, the Cameron Crowe-directed picture is much more a morality tale about integrity and loyalty than it is a titty teaser. Although feisty single mom Renée Zellweger snags her man by picture’s end, Jerry Maguire’s true romance is of a deeply platonic variety, blossoming between conflicted sports agent Tom Cruise and his only client, an undersized, big-mouthed football player played by Cuba Gooding Jr.
