A serious-minded student wades into a fiery affair with an edgy German woman in the made-for-TV romance Liebes Spiel (2005). Florian Stetter stars as Morten, a square and bookish twenty-something who grows smitten with the ravishing Theresa (Maggie Peren), a free spirit with a penchant for disappearing for days at a time. When Morten discovers the woman’s intense gambling habit, he makes the immediate decision to separate, but her intoxicating beauty and pleas for forgiveness eventually cause the young man to second guess his decision. The truth is that Morten would have to be loopy to let this fish get away--Peren’s as smoking as they come, and she reminds the young stud of this fact on numerous occasions.
