Jack Nicholson is a wussy sort until he's bitten by a beast and turns into a real dog in Wolf (1994), a hairy horror-comedy from Mike Nichols. Jack's just been sacked from his gig as an editor at a publishing house—boss Christopher Plummer delivered the bummer bombshell, giving a leg up to slimy James Spader in the process. Betrayed by James and in the doghouse of life, Jack should be unhappy about also getting attacked by a wolf. But a strange thing happens: He ends up appreciative of the little nipper! As he begins to change from dope to lycanthrope, Wolfman Jack gets his mojo back; he's spry and alive for the first time in years, which comes in handy in his pursuit of the howlingly hot Michelle Pfeiffer.
