Degas knew and now director Robert Altman reveals to the world why ballet isn’t a sissy sport. In The Company (2003), Neve Campbell, a trained dancer, plays the up-and-comer . . . and just seeing her in a leotard is enough to get viewers up and coming. While she trips the light fantastic, Neve keeps her Danskins on. But in the ballet equivalent of a lusty locker-room scene, Valerie Robin and Maia Wilkins expose their small wonders, and wonderful it is. Who says Mr. Skin doesn’t appreciate the high arts?
