The indie romantic comedy Smart People (2008) stars Dennis Quaid as Lawrence Wetherhold, a bitter widowed professor who lives with his wise-cracking and politically conservative teenage daughter, Vanessa (Ellen Page), and tolerates his unemployed mooch of an adopted brother, Chuck (Thomas Hayden Church). Everything changes when Lawrence gets a concussion and comes into the care of emergency-room doctor Janet Hartigan (Sarah Jessica Parker), who also happens to be a former student who used to have a crush on him. Unfortunately none of the babes involved show skin. A little flash of Ellen’s melons would have been smart, people.
