Bruce Willis plays a maverick on the Pittsburgh police force in the gritty action film Striking Distance (1993). The weathered veteran receives his toughest assignment yet when a serial killer begins tormenting the denizens of the Iron City. A pattern emerges that convinces Officer Hardy (Willis) that the killer is a cop, until the murders fizzle out and the case gets filed away. Years later, with Hardy working River Rescue alongside a sexy female partner (Sarah Jessica Parker), the killings start up once again, and this time the mysterious madman is targeting the women in Hardy’s life. The no-nonsense policeman is determined to solve the case once and for all, lest the foxy, underwear-clad Parker becomes the next victim.
