How did the Eagles song go--you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave? Those are the house rules at Slaughter Hotel (1971), an isolated mental hospital where the head doctor’s more unhinged than his patients. Tyrannical talent Klaus Kinski lends his Teutonic roar to the part of Dr. Keller, the deranged ward who tends for his flock of mentally unstable rich women. With lesbians and nymphomaniacs roaming the ghostly halls, it isn’t long before naked bodies are passionately entangled. Gioia Desideri, Jane Garret, Margaret Lee, and Rosalba Neri never play shy with the camera.
