The dark Canadian thriller Dark Summer (1999) tells the story of two deranged serial-killing sisters (Connie Nielsen and Mia Kirshner) who meet a traveling cellist (Jean-Hugues Anglade) after an accident in a hospital. En route to Seattle to tell their ailing alcoholic mummy (Anne Archer) that their dear old daddy is now deceased, the pretty pair entangles the wayward musician in their titillatingly twisted tale of incest, intrigue, and murder.
