Soko Leipzig is a spin-off of the classic German crime series Soko 5113. Produced in 2001, it has been broadcast now for twenty-eight episodes, two seasons, and two years. The major difference between both shows (aside from a completely different cast) is that the original was located in München while the follow-up is obviously set in Leipzig. This was a smart move on the part of the producers seeing that the booming town in East Germany had never before been used as the location for a crime series which supplies it with a fresh appearance. The story centers on a four-man police unit consisting of Hajo Trautzschke (Andreas Schmidt-Schaller), Jan Maybach (Marco Girnth), Ina Zimmermann (Melanie Marschke), and Miguel Alvarez (Gabriel Merz) who specialize in solving capital crimes. Nudity? Only occasional glimpses. For a couple of excellent looks at supporting actress Miriam Von Version?s truly gigantic chest check out the TV thriller Der Voyeur which contains several minutes of nudity by the blonde German as well as her co-stars Claudia Mehnert and Franziska Schlattner.
