Okay, so you usually wouldn’t want to spend time with three middle-aged married couples as they take vacations in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter--but consider that the wives in The Four Seasons (1981) are a fine MILF line-up of Carol Burnett, Sandy Dennis and Rita Moreno. Even better, this dramatic comedy adds the wild card of younger gal Bess Armstrong as one hubby’s new trophy wife. (Dennis, sadly, gets ditched.) It’s a surprisingly good film, but the skinny-dipping scene is still a smart move from writer/director/star Alan Alda.
