The Animal (2001) is a story about animal lust. Saturday Night Live’s Rob Schneider plays Marvin, a mouse of a man who doesn’t have the cojones to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming a police officer. After being injured in a car accident, a mad scientist uses the organs of animals to save Marvin’s life. He recovers, newly energized by the parts within him, and immediately becomes a monkey of a macho man. He achieves instant success as an über cop and finds amour with feisty fox Rianna, played by Survivor cutie Colleen Haskell. Brave, brawny, and bursting with brute force, life is marvy for Marvin until the beastly instincts of the birds and the bees start taking control of his body at the most inappropriate times. He struggles to remain a civilized gent with his new gal pal in a series of side-splitting situations that would drive even the sanest of souls bananas.
