After the success of Basic Instinct (1992), it seemed perfectly logical to make a courtroom thriller about a woman who’s accused of fucking her lover to death. And who better to play the murder weapon than Madonna? The result is Body of Evidence (1993), a box-office bomb that’s panned by the critics and hailed as a skinema classic. Madonna is pretty fearless in her kinky scenes with Willem Dafoe as her lucky lawyer. Julianne Moore’s no slouch, either, making an impressive early appearance as Dafoe’s wanton wife. Anne Archer, however, uses body double Shawn Lusader to provide some stunt T&A.
