Sultry Sarah Miles is Lady Caroline Lamb (1972), the wife of bigshot William Lamb (Jon Finch), future Prime Minister of Limeytown and a total cuckold. That's because Sarah is banging Richard Chamberlain—a.k.a. Lord Byron—and their poesy-filled poking is poison to her husband's political career. She flaunts it as openly as she flaunts her fabbo bod (which she flaunts while wearing blackface . . . and blackboobs too!), and eventually it even embarrasses Dick himself. Also embarrassed is her mother-in-law, Margaret Leighton, for obvious reasons. Sarah ends up dumped and, feeling down-in-the-dumps, decides to off herself in a very public manner. When that fails, she ends up a little embarrassed for herself. Laurence Olivier and Ralph Richardson also appear, but it's Sarah's sweaterbeets that win the standing ovation.
