In Loulou (1980) Isabelle Huppert is a successful working wife who decides that her life would be a lot more complete if she hooked up with lowlife creep Gerard Depardieu. Yeah, we meet a lot of women like that. Anyway, this acclaimed art film follows Huppert’s happy life with her new lover, as she watches him get drunk and even tags along on some petty thefts. Oh, and there’s also plenty of hot sex. That explains a lot, actually.
