Alvin (Graeme Blundell) is an average looking guy who women find inexplicably irresistible in the Australian sex comedy Alvin Purple (1973). Ever since he was a teenager, Alvin has been catnip for the ladies. Classmates, teachers, single and married women all pursue him with predatory desire. As an adult he is working in door-to-door sales, and tries mightily to resist the legions of women who fall at his feet.
