Tommy Chong goes Far Out Man (1990) in a rare film that finds him taking time off from his longtime doper buddy Richard “Cheech” Marin. With or without his pal, however, Chong’s got partying on the brain. He stars as a graying hippie who hits the road for a bit of Kerouac-inspired lollygagging, encountering friends C. Thomas Howell and Judd Nelson along the way. The stoner also finds time for the fairer sex, including Peggy McIntaggart and real-life wife Shelby Chong, who flashes a supple bit of flesh while lighting her cig.
