There is great comfort to be taken in a day-to-day routine, in a succession of perceptions and cumulative assumptions that serve as a foundation upon which a secure emotional structure can be erected. Then some quantum event arrives to spin the entire world upside down, and the consciousness in upheaval is forced to simultaneously ask and marvel What the Bleep Do We Know!? (2004). A hybrid film that mixes fictional drama, scientific and philosophic theory presented in documentary form, and a spectacular panoply of special effects, What the Bleep encourages viewers to put aside every aspect of life and death that they view as a certainty and entertain the probability that reality is actually only vaguely what we think it is.
