A nineteenth-century demon finds a dwelling in a piece of antique furniture in the kooky horror film Death Bed: The Bed That Eats (1977). After seducing a young maiden and offing her in the same breath, a loathsome lecher changes shape and takes refuge inside a magnificent canopy bed. Forever after, any sap who spends the night on this particular feather mattress is treated to exquisite forms of bodily torture. When a pair of pint-sized siblings (Rosa Luxemburg and William Russ) cozy up under the blankets, however, the monster realizes he may have met his match. The list of bedtime victims is long and sexy--Linda Bond, Demene Hall, Julie Ritter, and Dessa Stone all experience unfortunate (though scantily clad) ends.
