April's Shower (2003) is just that: April's shower, as in bridal shower. But that literalism doesn't hint at the unique charms of this romantic comedy. April is played by Maria Cina, who it turns out was more a same-sex-marriage kind of gal until she met Mr. Right, or as we refer to him here at Skin Central, Mr. Lucky. Things get weird when Maria's ex-lover, Trish Doolan, is in charge of the bash. Adding tension is Trish's position in the wedding party: She's the Maid of Honor. After watching Trish and Maria tumble in bed together in a flashback, it’s obvious that’s an honor she definitely deserves, and viewers will feel honored to share in the memories.
