Review
Young couple Christian (Loving Feeling's Simon Brent) and Amanda (Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter's Lisa Collings) take a holiday in Italy where the hubby finds the women irresistible, much to his delight. He proceeds to bed blondes, hotel guests and hookers with gusto while, unbeknownst to him, his wife does the same! A major sexploitation title for the early 1970s, Love is a Splendid Illusion features future sex starlets Maxine Casson (Twins of Evil), Gay Soper (The Ups and Downs of a Handyman), Fiona Curzon (Frightmare) and Anna Matisse (The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes). This ribald romp caused major problems for British censors who cut it by a staggering 14 minutes for its original release!
