A pair of married couples is subjected to painfully prolonged bouts of forced abstinence in the bawdy Mexican sex comedy Quitenme la calentura (1994). In order to claim a substantial inheritance, the betrothed couples in Ramiro Melendez’s film must endure twin sets of tortures--in the first, they’re separated from their mates, surrounded by strippers, and prevented from satisfying their carnal desires. In the second, they’re isolated completely and kept from pursuing any form of sexual pleasure. The money they stand to earn is substantial, but the sight of stripper Patricia Muņoz in skimpy lingerie is enough to make any red-blooded male forget about money and go for broke.
