In a nondescript Eastern European country, a disaffected soldier on leave from the front falls in love with a stripper at a local nightclub. The relationship they establish is at once violent and oddly romantic, set, as it is, against a backdrop of death and inhumanity. La Vie nouvelle (2002) is a moody and grim take on love and sex amid death and annihilation. Watch for a very hot bedroom scene with Anna Mouglalis showing off an exquisite pair of milk bottles and a nice furry thatch as well.
