After twenty-six years, one of the great all-time cheapo horror-video bootlegs is finally available on DVD. Boarding House (1982) has fascinated fans with its incredibly low-budget techniques (for one thing, it was shot on video and transferred to film, resulting in a grainy picture), a Willam Castle-style gimmick dubbed “Horror Vision” that warns viewers before a gruesome murder is about to occur, and tons of female nudity. The story revolves around a psychic who runs a boarding house. When a bunch of hot young girls move in, the house’s evil and murderous personality soon makes itself felt. This one has to be seen to be believed!
