When a bridegroom gets cold feet, he leaves his bride at the altar and finds a suitable replacement in the zany comic romp Quando la coppia scoppia (1980). Enrico Montesano, Claude Brasseur, and Dalila Di Lazzaro play the principals in an Italian romantic comedy in which no one is sure, from minute to minute, who will be exchanging the vows. Though her role is a small one, Daniela Poggi leaves a lasting impression during a tryst with the confused young fiancé. With a body as fabulous as Poggi’s, it’s no wonder that the poor schlub is second guessing his promise to be faithful.
