When a wealthy Arab sheik announces his intention to add 1,000 luxury yachts to his fleet, representatives from two boatbuilding firms immediately get dollar signs in their eyes. So begins Göta kanal (1981), a hilarious Swedish comedy in which two groups race for the opportunity to land the affluent Middle Easterner’s order. Piloting along the Göta kanal, a waterway connecting Stockholm and Gothenburg, the two parties will do anything it takes to bring home the payola. They’re not above taking on extra weight, however. Kim Anderzon plays the sexiest sailor in the cast--a leggy bombshell who peels off her robe to take a nice skinny dip.
