The action/adventure audience of Indonesia obviously has a deeper appreciation for over-the-top violence than does the film-going public in most civilized countries. Both in body count and in means of extermination, The Stabilizer (1984) can go head to head, atrocity for atrocity, with any self-conscious slasher auteur America has ever bred. The villains are degenerate drug lords who have viciously and gruesomely murdered the innocent fiancée of "The Stabilizer." When upset, "The Stabilizer" becomes an unstoppable force of vengeance who has the dopers wishing they’d left his sweetheart alone.
