Before Errol Flynn became a legendary swordsman, he was . . . well, a legendary swordsman. Flynn (1996) takes a look at the actor’s ascent in the Golden Age of Hollywood, with Aussie actor Guy Pearce starring as the lusty Lothario. Claudia Karvan, Joy Antonie, Nikki Creswell, Michelle McClatchy, and Sandi Schultz are pretty golden in their own right as some of Flynn’s topless tarts. Nicki Paull even doffs her top as Errol’s randy mother. Flynn fans, though, aren’t too happy with the scene where the legend indulges in some butt piracy with a fictionalized male friend. We could do without it, too--not that there’s anything wrong with that.
