Before he achieved a bona fide hit with L.A. Confidential (1997), director Curtis Hanson helmed a series of less ambitious thrillers that included the throwback venture Losin’ It (1983). Set in the mid-1960s, Hanson’s film stars John Stockwell, Jackie Earle Haley, and Tom Cruise as lustful adolescents who take a road trip to Tijuana in hopes of scoring some tail. Their trip takes an unexpected turn when a cuckoo divorcee (Shelley Long) decides to join their troupe, causing the sexual frustration to go through the roof. Unfortunately for everyone, Long keeps her juiciest bits to herself, leaving co-star Victoria Wells to titillate the youngsters with her fit bod.
