Life's a bitch, and then you get charged with murder before you're old enough to legally buy a pack of cigarettes and the same system that created you takes it upon itself to snuff out your young, sunshine-deprived existence. Such is the message of Too Young to Die? (1990), a made-for-TV film based upon the true story of a harshly abused runaway chick who escapes the horrors of home to immerse herself in the terrors of the street. Moving up from her stepdaddy's bed to a strip-club stage is a manageable step for this intellectually feeble, deeply wounded animal. From the stripper pole to a murder plot is only one more small leap, and from there tragedy unfolds complete.
