Director Jane Campion helmed Holly Hunter into some Oscar-winning nudity, so Meg Ryan was happy to shed her sunny image—and her clothes—for the dark erotic thriller In the Cut (2003). She’s certainly believable as a New York City teacher who indulges in some seriously dangerous sex after a woman is murdered in her neighborhood. Actually, her wild side seems to get riled when she stumbles on a guy getting a blowjob in a bar. She’s soon jilling off, enjoying a grilling from homicide detective Mark Ruffalo, and hanging out near a sex club. Jennifer Jason Leigh also shows up as Meg’s slutty sister, while daring darling Heather Litteer is rumored to actually be on her knees for those bathroom antics. Don’t miss the gals in the strip club scene, either. The tattooed bartender is punk princess Theo Kogan, and the dancers are Sandy Vital, Nancy La Scala, Ami Goodheart, and the amazing team of Sharon Riggins and Karen Riggins.
