Bridget Fonda has a sprawling Manhattan apartment in Single White Female (1992) and after breaking up with her boyfriend decides she needs to spice things up with a female roommate. She gets that and then some in Jennifer Jason Leigh. Jennifer is kind of fond of Fonda and proceeds to steal her roomie’s clothing, copy her short bob of a haircut, and even sleep with her boyfriend. The sexual tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife . . . and Jennifer does.
