The Last Picture Show (1971) is the first word on Cybill Shepherd. She doesn't show her Shepherd's pie, but her muffins are hot. Her sexy nude pool scene certainly impressed director Peter Bogdanovich, who decided to take her home from work as a frisky fringe benefit. The low-budget coming-of-age story takes place in a small Texas town, but it was Tinseltown that took notice, slobbering over the black-and-white flick with lots of gold Oscar statues. Besides Cybill's cuties, Kimbery Hyde shows off her comely hide, and Sharon Ullrick lets Timothy Bottoms drive her in the backseat of his car. Keep the Academy Awards; this is booby prize material.
