Dire circumstances push a loyal wife and mother into prostitution in the erotic Pinoy melodrama Hamog sa bukang liwayway (2004). Filipino beauty Via Veloso stars as Eva, the intrepid young heroine who’s left at wits’ end when her delinquent husband (Baldo Marro) is nabbed and incarcerated for drug running. Desperate for cash, Eva turns to prostitution until a kindly john (Francis Enriquez) asks for her hand in marriage. No sooner does the couple wed, however, than Eva’s ex is out of jail and making demands. It’s easy to see how the schlub would want to pick up right where he left off with Veloso, but co-stars Nika Madrid and Rizza Rossini offer some tantalizing alternatives in their respective skin shows.
