A young widow swears off love before deciding to change course in the sudsy made-for-television melodrama Shades of Love: Indigo Autumn (1987). Lisa Schrage stars as Jill Jamieson, a beautiful young woman who’s floored by the sudden and unexpected death of her husband. Unable to escape her grief, Jamieson vows to stay romantically unattached for the rest of her days. Perhaps predictably, lust gets the better of her, and soon she’s cavorting with the muscular Bruce (Marc Singer), whom some suspect is setting her up for a vicious fall. Men might yawn at the plot, but Schrage shows an impressive amount of flesh for a harlequin romance––the Canadian beauty is in no way shy about trying out an impressive array of coital positions with her eager new lover.
