A brothel in Nazi-occupied France is the scene of Le Diable rose (1987), a comedy about a double agent named Lolita, played by former porn star Brigitte Lahaie, and the French, German, and English soldiers and attachés who woo her. It's mostly slapstick, but there is an underlying political point that is well played too. Lahaie is in rare form; the burlesque state has never seen sweater kittens like this before.
