A brutish husband forces his way between two sisters in the sensuously wrought Filipino drama Hipag (1998). Following a violent assault by her sister’s husband, Nimfa (Rita Magdalena) flees town and refuses to speak to the befuddled Aning (Camille Roxas). Only after Nimfa’s former lover enacts revenge on the rapist do the two women meet to discuss the complex emotions consuming their relationship. The oft-naked Magdalena saves some of her best stuff for this taut drama, and Roxas pitches in with an alluring bout of highly revealing foreplay.
