Canadian cult director David Cronenberg directed the gender-bending fact-based drama M. Butterfly (1993), based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of the same name. Jeremy Irons stars as René Gallimard, a French diplomat who falls for Chinese opera singer Song Liling (John Lone) only to find out after a twenty-year affair that his lover is both a man and a spy. Annabel Leventon, on the other gland, is all woman and goes bare to prove it. She’ll make your nutter fly!
