Frustrated by their inability to conceive a child, a pair of young lovers (Chantal De Freitas and Kai Wiesinger) tries to “borrow” a man in hopes that they’ll have a baby in nine months’ time. Their efforts aren’t completely in vain, but the husband and wife take a slanted, circuitous route to happiness in the German erotic comedy Der Leihmann (1994). Fortunately the beautiful De Freitas puts plenty of effort into lovemaking, and Birge Schade also takes a turn at trying to conceive. A for effort, girls!
