In America, when a woman gets up on stage and starts peeling off her clothes, she’s called a stripper, but in the Philippines they’ve got a much more impressive sounding name: GRO (1999), or “Guest Relations Officer”. Curiously enough, Pinoy knockout Rita Magdalena first got her start as a GRO, and she was quickly plucked out of her club and cast in sex comedies such as this one, by Neal Tan. The story chronicles the lives of beautiful GROs at a popular Filipino nightclub, and Tan mixes plenty of the good with the bad. While a rape scene with Ynez Veneracion is difficult to watch, Ynez and Rita both appear in plenty of other, more mouth-watering shower and sex spectacles.
