Chantal Contouri is parched in Thirst (1979), but she doesn't quite know why. When she's abducted by an organized group of vampires who herd humans like cattle for their precious blood, it is revealed that Chantal is descended from a blood-sucking lineage. She refuses to accept her fate, even when nakedly awash in blood in one of the movie's most erotic and disturbing scenes. Whether she digs her fangs in and drinks up with her demonic brothers or fights off their ghoulish advances makes for a satisfying gulp of horror in Thirst.
