In Paul Williams’s breezy comedy Miss Right (1982), a lady-killer cavorts through Rome in search of the perfect mate. Terry Bartell stars as William Tepper, a handsome bachelor with a colorful past as a pro basketball player, investigative journalist, and convert to Buddhism. Because beautiful women can’t seem to get enough of the guy, Tepper finds himself in a most unusual predicament. In order to locate his true Miss Right, the playboy will need to ditch all of the hangers-on in his life—especially those with irresistible hourglass figures. As Tepper quickly discovers, it’s a more difficult challenge than he originally thought. Karen Black, Margot Kidder, and Marie-France Pisier are just a few of the leggy dames who refuse to give up their quest for the crown, slipping out of their clothing at every opportunity.
