Colin Farrel is Syracuse, a fisherman who finds a mysterious and beautiful woman (Alicja Bachleda) in his nets and takes her for a mermaid in the Irish fantasy drama Ondine (2009). When he brings her home and his daughter, who has kidney failure, also believes that she's a magical being called a selkie and has come to save her.
