Not even straight people are content to be straight anymore, to judge from the collected heterosexual freak show that populates Dirty (1998). The second feature from Canadian director Bruce Sweeney, Dirty chronicles the unclean complexities of an intertwining group of Vancouver misfits and malcontents. The most together character in the cast is a middle-aged, female drug dealer with mammoth breasts. She kindly indulges the slaphappy sexual quirks of a university student who seems to be majoring in needing a spanking. Their friends and associates all feel their emotions a tad more strongly than they can bear and seek relief by acting out in scenarios of odd sexuality.
