Review
Red Flag: The Ultimate Game is yet another Movie with Jets. I hate to sound so tired but after Top Gun and Iron Eagle, as well as the myriad of clones out there, movies with Jets just don’t do “it” for me, anymore.
Besides, this stinker was made-for-TV, which means that its budget was vastly limited. It shows. For God’s sake, Barry Bostwick’s in it!
The plot, which we’ve all seen a million times, involves a fierce rivalry between Bostwick and William Devane, who are both taking part in, get this, Air Force dog-fighting exercises “code-named” (do they code-name everything in the military?) Red Flag. That’s right, folks… That’s as exciting as it comes. It’s almost like watching two heavyweight boxers fighting without landing a punch…
Naturally, the two eventually have to work together to “Win the Day,” or something to that effect. Who really cares? Unless you’re five years old and have model airplanes littering your bedroom, I’d say skip this one. It’s just mindless drivel wrapped up in a semi-glossy jet-fighter package. D-
Nudity Report: None, although Joan Van Ark appears in all her sexy wonder in a skimpy little bikini…
IMDb Summary: 6.2/10, although there are a whopping 11 votes…
DVD Info: Full-screen, stereo sound. Extras include cast filmographies and web links. Yee-hah.
