Nina Landey and Angie Redman star as lesbian lovers in the quiet little drama Treading Water (2001). The story unravels during a cold Christmas with uptight relatives, as the rich girl’s parents try to disinvite her lover from the family Christmas party. Things only get more tense once they find out that their daughter’s lesbian lover is also the drug counselor to their troubled son. Nothing actually gets resolved--hence the title--but some believable sex scenes between Nina and Angie guarantee your own big climax.
