Fracture (2007) stars Anthony Hopkins as an engineer who's plotting to off his hottie (Embeth Davidtz) for cuckolding him with a copper. Being Anthony Hopkins, he naturally cooks up an ingenious plan—it's as close to the perfect murder as murder can get. After shooting his skirt, he refuses to let anyone in but Billy Burke, the man who's been teaching Embeth all about the long arm of the law. Anthony confesses everything to the man . . . and then Billy realizes that the victim is his girl! Will the confession stick? Is Anthony playing a trick? Just what is his masterful plan? Whatever it is, he seems confident that he'll never be a convict. Prosecuting this mess falls to Ryan Gosling, an assistant district attorney who thinks he has a slam-dunk case but ends up battling wits and taking hits to his psyche from the dastardly, bastardly Mr. Hopkins. He also takes handfuls of tit from Rosamund Pike, but, unfortunately, she shows nothing more than a quick slip of nip . . . and even that's just a DVD extra.
