Viva la muerte (1970), which translates to Long Live Death, is an arty inditment of fascism and society and blah, blah, el blah. Instead of plot, there is a series of shocking images. A man buried up to his head is trampled by horses. People dine on eyeballs plucked from heads with hot needles. A lady bares her backside for a whipping. A homosexual survives a firing squad execution only to be dispatched with a handgun fired up his butt. A priest is castrated and forced to eat his own balls, all the while praising the Lord for such a gift. Thankfully, Núria Espert and Anouk Ferjac show off their breasts and buns, respectively, or else Long Live Death would be really long.
